Planning commences for the 2010 Bacchus Marsh Strawberries & Cherries Weekend.
Bacchus Marsh Tourism Association Inc has commenced planning for the 2010 Strawberries & Cherries Weekend.
On November 20th and 21st, we will see the event return for its fourth consecutive year.
Bacchus Marsh Tourism Association president, David Durham says that “In 2010 we will see continued event development, with a bigger and even more exciting event in the pipeline"
“All of the original event activities that our community and tourists have come to know and love such as the Trail Map, the evening event at Bacchus Hill, and the Cherry Pip Spitting competition will be back, as well as several new activities in the pipeline such as a strawberry eating competition “
The Bacchus Marsh Tourism Association is seeking expressions of interest from local schools and community groups. Those wishing to take part must ensure their creative suggestions compliment the unique strawberries and cherries theme. The group also encourages feedback from those who visited the event last year, as well as expressions of interest from local musicians or artists who might like to get involved. Community feedback and event expressions of interest can be sent through to: info@visitbacchusmarsh.com.au by July 30th.
“Most importantly we are seeking event sponsorship from local business and industry. Local support ensures the ongoing sustainability of the Strawberries & Cherries weekend and allows us to continue to provide free activities for everyone in the community to enjoy”
A copy of the sponsorship prospectus can be viewed at www.visitbacchusmarsh.com.au from July 13th.
Alternatively, to discuss sponsorship opportunities, please contact any member of the Bacchus Marsh Tourism Association or call Allan Comrie on 0409 211 290

Although the Saturday of Bacchus Marsh's recent Strawberries and Cherries Trail was hindered by thunderstorms and bad weather in typical Victorian weather fashion the next day was perfect and brought out day trippers and locals alike to enjoy the event.
